Niagara County and Orleans County H1N1 Vaccine

Dear Niagara and Orleans County Residents,

Because many of you have concerns about the upcoming H1N1 vaccination and its policies, I too have concerns that you receive the correct information regarding it. This information that is being passed along shows the priority groups, websites and contact information that you can use when making your decision.  

The vaccine will first be administered to five priority groups: pregnant women, first responders, health care workers, people with compromised immune systems, and children between the ages of six months and 24 years. Of this last category, there are 70,000 qualifying individuals in Niagara County, and older family members who associate with them will be given priority, too.

Soon the Niagara and Orleans County Health Departments will be disseminating information about when and where the free vaccinations will be available.  Mass clinics will be set up at schools in the county.
