Senator George Maziarz hosted a free Child Safety Day on Saturday, May 16, 2009 at his district office, located at 2578 Niagara Falls Boulevard (the “Boulder Commons” plaza) in the Town of Wheatfield. The event ran from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
“I invite any family to stop by my office and learn about ways to keep kids safe,” Senator Maziarz said. “This is always a fun event, and with the summer coming up, it’s a good time to put safety first.”
Child Safety Day featured Child ID kits and fingerprinting, car seat safety checks, the K-9 unit from the North Tonawanda Police Department, the mounted patrol from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department, a fire truck and fire safety robot from Frontier Volunteer Fire Company, and child safety brochures and information. Entertainment was on hand too, including Do-Do the Clown, a bounce house, and refreshments.
