Senator Winner and area Assemblyman Tom O’Mara (R,I,C-Big Flats), far right, recently toured the construction site for the new CVS/pharmacy warehouse distribution center in the town of Chemung.
Construction remains on schedule for a 2011 completion date.
Senator Winner said, "The construction of the CVS distribution center reinforces the fact that strong federal-state-local partnerships can produce results for the workers of the Southern Tier and all of upstate New York, even under these toughest of economic conditions. I hope it continues to help send a crystal clear message to Albany’s leaders that if you invest in upstate New York, good jobs and economic opportunities will follow.
"We need to keep delivering the message that upstate New York is an attractive place to do business, we offer a high quality work force, and our community leaders will always go the extra mile to spark an economic turnaround for our workers and their families."
