State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C, I - Schenectady) announced recently that the New York State Senate Republican Program Development Committee will be hosting the first in a series of public forums across the State to assist in development of the Senate Republican’s 2010 legislative action plan on Thursday, May 28th at Mercy College in Yorktown Heights.
The committee will solicit input from the business community and taxpayers regarding the impact of the State’s current policies and what ideas they have for the creation of legislation that will make New York a more attractive place to reside, work and live the American Dream.
Members of the Senate Republican Conference have repeatedly expressed their concerns about the negative impact of the 2009-10 State Budget on businesses and families across the state. This committee will play an important role in developing and advancing the initiatives our Republican conference will be fighting for to improve the lives of taxpayers and families all across this State.
Thursday’s hearing will take place at Mercy College, 2651 Strang Boulevard, Yorktown Heights. Additional hearings will be held throughout the State in the next few months and will be announced at a later date.
