STATEMENT BY SENATOR GRIFFO ON PRESIDENT OBAMA’S NOMINATION OF CONGRESSMAN JOHN McHUGH
“President Barack Obama chose the right man, the best man, when he nominated John McHugh for Secretary for the United States Army. I’ve had the privilege of working and knowing the Congressman for many years. I respect him as an elected official and admire him as a friend.
He has an extraordinary record of public service. It is an honor for our state and a very earned and deserving recognition for Congressman McHugh to be selected. While we will miss his representation, our nation will continue to benefit under his talents and leadership of the U.S. Army. Congressman McHugh’s commitment to public service will continue and the nation will be well-served.”
