Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden, in conjunction with the Southwest Brooklyn Parks Task Force and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT1NYC), recently hosted the 2009 Halloween Walk & Fair at Owl’s Head Park. The 15th Annual event featured the Haunted Walk, the Fairytale Forest, a pumpkin patch, a costume contest and much more. The event also included rides for the children, pony rides, face painting and “Dracula’s Food Court”.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "I saw so many more of our most famed characters and stars in Owl's Head Park There were so many great costumes this year in our park, costumes that took a lot of time and dedication to make. Clearly, the Halloween spirit was alive and well this year."

Senator Golden continued, "The Haunted Halloween Walk and Fair has become a fun-filled event in our community that is a safe alternative to Trick-or-Treating. This event has become truly a local tradition and a special day full of fun, ghosts, goblins, tricks and treats. I am proud to have again made possible the Halloween Walk this year for the children and families of our neighborhood to enjoy.”
