Senator Golden Invites You to Go Walking in “A Winter Wonderland”

Brooklyn - State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, 22nd District) today is announcing a special two day “Winter Wonderland” event designed to ring in the holiday season within our neighborhood. The event is being co-sponsored by CERT 1 NYC, the South West Brooklyn Parks Task Force and Adelphi Academy.

Senator Marty Golden stated, “The holidays are a great time to reflect on the past year and enjoy quality time with friends and family that are always not so easy to see year round.  My two day Winter Wonderland will be an enjoyable event for children as well as their families.  I always look forward to this time of year, joining the citizens I represent in Albany in song and yule-tide cheer.”

Senator Golden’s “Winter Wonderland” will take place December 4, 2009 from 6pm-9pm, and December 5, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m. at Adelphi Academy, located on 86th Street & Ridge Blvd. in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn.  This event will feature visits to Santa’s workshop, holiday costumed characters, hot chocolate, and small gifts for all children.  

READY NY will provide the public with preparedness packages.  In addition, musical guests will join us at the event. Friday evening will include songs from Frankie Marra, Tony Monier, and special guests.  Saturday’s evening will be songs with Ridge Chorale/Samaha Vocal Ensemble.
