Seneca Falls- New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio continues his unwavering commitment to the brave men and women serving our Nation overseas by hosting his annual Holiday Drive for the Troops. Each year during the Holiday Season, Senator Nozzolio collects nonperishable items from the community. The items collected during this year’s drive will be sent overseas to military personnel deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“We must never forget the sacrifices that our men and women in uniform make for us every single day,” said Senator Nozzolio, “Making a small donation and providing them with the little comforts from home is just one way that we can all say ‘thank you’.”
Nonperishable items such as snacks, gum, hard candy, instant coffee and dry-mix beverages such as iced tea and lemonade can be dropped off at Senator Nozzolio’s district office located at 119 Fall Street in Seneca Falls. Other personal items such as stationary, pens and small articles of clothing like hats or socks are also welcome.
Items can be dropped off through the 10th of December, when Senator Nozzolio will send the items to our troops overseas.
“This year, more than ever, our troops need our support. I am encouraging everyone to reach out to those brave men and women and extend their thanks however they can. This annual drive is just one small way to do that,” Senator Nozzolio commented.

“We all hope for the safe return of our troops currently serving overseas. As I travel throughout my district, I meet many families with loved ones serving abroad. I have learned from them how much it truly means to our soldiers to receive packages from home. It is our responsibility to support our soldiers and give thanks to them for what they do to protect our freedom,” concluded Senator Nozzolio.
