Senator McDonald Applauds South Glens Falls Students
May 5, 2009
Albany - Senator Roy McDonald recently recognized efforts by students for their organization and participation in the 32nd annual South High Marathon Dance.
The 2009 South High Marathon Dance raised an incredible $260,020. Even more impressive is that the dance is almost entirely planned and organized by South High students. 720 students participated in this year’s dance, which dedicated the funds raised to 22 charitable causes.
"This event is truly emblematic of what young people can do to make a significant difference in their communities” McDonald continued, “I am proud of these students and their dedication to helping others that are less fortunate.”
McDonald joined Senator Elizabeth Little in recognizing the students with a proclamation on the Senate Chamber Floor.
