Hispanic Ministers to Meet And Discuss Homosexual Marriage
Ruben Diaz
April 14, 2009
After the insistence of Governor David Paterson to introduce and impose homosexual marriage in the State of New York, the NY Hispanic Clergy Organization will convene a meeting to discuss the next steps to take.
According to Senator Diaz, "this meeting is being called to inform Ministers of Governor Paterson’s plans, the possibilities that marriage between men and men and women with women is approved or not, the options that we Hispanics, Catholics, Evangelicals and others have to prevent it, and what we have to do".
Senator Diaz also stated that: "The Governor is also being disrespectful to the new Catholic Archbishop Timothy Dolan and to every Catholic in New York City by pushing a gay marriage bill the same week that Catholics are celebrating welcoming ceremonies for his arrival; If I were Governor Paterson, I would abstain from going to St. Patrick’s Cathedral for the welcoming ceremony and to celebrate Mass."
This meeting will take place:
