New York State Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz, Chair of the Senate Aging Committee, is calling for a public hearing on President Obama’s proposed health care reform and the impact it will have on New York State senior citizens. The hearing will take place at 250 Broadway, Senate Hearing Room, 19th Floor in New York City on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
According to Senator Rev. Ruben Diaz, “There has been much discussion in the media recently regarding Section 1233 of the legislation and the New York State Senate Committee on Aging is interested in separating fact from fiction. This legislation proposes to reform the way health care is provided in this country, and every effort must be made to ensure that the public has correct information. It is especially important to know how the proposed reforms will affect seniors.”
Testimony is by invitation only.
