Knowing how difficult these times are for our senior citizens, State Senator Reverend Rubén Díaz, Sr. has arranged for two thousand (2,000) senior citizens in his senatorial district to receive one turkey each.
According to Senator Diaz, “There are twenty-two (22) senior centers in my district with an average of one hundred (100) seniors attending every day. I will visit four different centers every day starting Wednesday, November 18th until Wednesday, November 25th and will personally hand-deliver the turkeys to those seniors who will be present during my visit.”
“This is done in the spirit of cooperation and understanding, together with the Bronx Boro President, Rubén Díaz, Jr., Assemblyman Marcos Crespo, Affinity Health Plan and Health Plus, knowing that some seniors don’t have the resources to buy their turkey or to have their own meal during this special week of Thanksgiving celebration”, concluded Senator Díaz.
