Senator Rev Diaz Letter to NYC Parks Commissioner
Ruben Diaz
August 26, 2009
Dear Commissioner Benape:
This letter is to inform you that my constituents have been complaining to my office that Indian Lake in Crotona Park needs to be cleaned – immediately.
My constituents and their families are concerned about the pollution and odor and filth that needs regular and proper maintenance, especially during these summer months when families rely upon our public parks for recreation and enjoyment.
It is unclear to me that Central Park’s lake is always properly maintained, but Indian Park, which serves my constituents in the South Bronx, requires the attention of a New York State Senator in order to be cleaned and maintained.
I look forward to your prompt response.
Sincerely,
Senator Reverend Ruben Diaz
