Senator Steve Saland (R,I,C – Poughkeepsie) announces from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. , Wednesday, September 30th, WMHT, the Capital Region’s public broadcasting association will host an “Ask the Expert Call In Day” featuring a wide array of home improvement specialists.
The Consumer Protection Board will be joined by the New York State Builders’ Association, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, the Preservation League of New York State, the Division of Housing and Community Renewal. This informational session will provide advice about home improvement projects, provide energy saving ideas and provide unresolved home improvement mediation assistance. In addition, the Consumer Protection Board will provide advice and tips to better protect you from costly home improvement scams.
“For those who are planning a home improvement project or those who have questions regarding the best way to resolve unsatisfactory work being done on your home, this broadcast may save you money and possibly protect you from unscrupulous contractors,” said Senator Saland. “I commend WMHT and the Consumer Protection Board for bringing together professionals from the home improvement industry to answer questions and provide cost-saving advice to homeowners.”
