Senator Stachowski Attends Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center Grand Opening
(Williamsville, NY) NYS Senator William Stachowski (D, 58th District) joined with the Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center (BHSC), celebrating the Grand Opening of their new Williamsville Office at 5225 Sheridan Drive. The new center was made possible in part through a legislative grant secured by Senator Stachowski.
For more than fifty years, BHSC has been helping Western New Yorkers overcome communication disorders, serving 100,000 clients since its inception. BHSC offers many communication programs to the community, including Audiology, Oral Deaf Education and Language Pathology.
The Senator secured a $191,000 grant to assist with the purchase of new audiological equipment. “I am proud to have played a small part in the continued growth of the Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center through the funding we awarded BHSC," said Senator Stachowski, a former board member at Buffalo Hearing and Speech Center. “This organization is widely recognized for its work with adults, children and infants with communication disorders and has become an intricate part of the Western New York community. It is my hope that this funding plays a role in ensuring that the successful diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders for many years to come.”
“We are thrilled to be in the new space”, said Joseph J. Cozzo, President/CEO of Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center. “With more than 3340 square feet and two large classrooms, we will add more our out-patient services to the families in WNY,” he added.
Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center, a not-for-profit organization, is a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment center for children and adults with speech-language and hearing problems. The Center employs more than 300 staff members, including full and part time licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, Audiologists, Occupational and Physical Therapists, Teachers and Teacher Aides.
