Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins is urging every New Yorker to "stand up and be counted!"

"The Census Day on April 1st is right around the corner," said Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins. "The information collected by the Census is used to determine state and federal funding that communities will receive to improve schools, hospitals, emergency services, senior centers and other areas that are vital our neighborhoods. Therefore, it is important each person fill out the Census forms as well as encourage friends, family and others they know to do the same.”

Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins’ office, located at 28 Wells Avenue, Building 3 in Yonkers, has been designated as an official “Be Counted” site. The Senator's office has Census forms for visitors and staff members can help answer questions. The office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"The Census forms take only ten minutes to fill out, the information you provide is confidential and can have an extraordinary impact on our community," added Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins.
