Buffalo, NY – New York State Senator Antoine Thompson (D-parts of Erie & Niagara counties) answers the call to those in need during the holiday season. Senator Thompson, along with his staff will volunteer Friday, December 17th at the Buffalo City Mission by preparing and serving meals.
Helping people in need is the real meaning of the holiday season, which is why for three years Senator Thompson has made a point of volunteering at the Buffalo City Mission.
The Senator said, “If we are to make our community a better place it is critical that we understand the needs of others and act accordingly, and I encourage others to do the same.”
The Buffalo City Mission provides meals for 700 people each day and is often a place where some of the city’s homeless find refuge on a cold winters night.
