SENATOR FUSCHILLO & ASSEMBLYMAN McDONOUGH INFORM MERRICK COMMUTERS HOW TO FIGHT MTA’S PROPOSED LIRR FARE HIKES

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) and Assemblyman Dave McDonough (R-North Merrick) recently visited the Merrick Train Station to inform residents how they can fight the MTA’s proposed LIRR fare hike.
Senator Fuschillo and Assemblyman McDonough informed commuters about their online petition against the MTA’s proposal to raise LIRR fares by as much as 9.4 percent. Senator Fuschillo will be presenting the signatures collected through the online petition to the MTA Board of Directors at a public hearing they will be holding on the issue in mid-September.
Residents can sign the online petition by visiting Senator Fuschillo’s website, Fuschillo.nysenate.gov.
