Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently visited Mepham High School in Bellmore to thank members of the student council for collecting toys for his annual “Extend the Holidays” toy drive.
“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Center. The toys collected by the Mepham students will be delivered to the hospital after the holiday season, so that children can experience the joys of receiving a holiday gift throughout the year.
“Once again, Mepham’s students and staff did an unbelievable job in collecting toys which will bring smiles to the faces of children and their families. I really appreciate their efforts and congratulate them on a job well done,” said Senator Fuschillo.
