Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently visited Forest Lake Elementary School in Wantagh to thank students for participating in his annual “Extend the Holidays” toy drive.
“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Ward. The toys collected by the Forest Lake students will be delivered to the hospital after the holiday season, so that children can experience the joys of receiving a holiday gift throughout the year.
“The students at Forest Lake once again did an outstanding job collecting toys for ‘Extend the Holidays.’ The children in Winthrop Hospital, who are in need of some extra cheer, are going to have big smiles on their faces thanks to the Forest Lake students. I thank them for their help and congratulate them on a job well done,” said Senator Fuschillo.
