Senator Craig M. Johnson, (D-Nassau), will be teaming with the Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department, Long Island Blood Services, and the Lakeville Estates and North Lakeville Civic Associations to host a blood drive on Thursday, January 28.
The event will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Manhasset Lakeville Firehouse, 21 78th Ave, New Hyde Park.
Residents from across Nassau County are invited to attend.
"We need your help," Senator Johnson said. "One pint of blood can save three lives. I strongly urge every eligible donor to join us in this very important cause."
The blood, which will be collected by Long Island Blood Services, will be used in hospitals across Long Island.
This is the third year that Senator Johnson has sponsored a community blood drive. Last year's event drew more than 80 people and resulted in 63 pints being collected.
Walk-ins will be welcomed. To make an appointment, click here.
