Senator Adams’ statement: “I have the privilege today of announcing the inception of a new link on our Senate webpage. Created in honor of the women and men who have served our country, this website will illustrate the concerns we have for the welfare of our veterans and the issues they face and list the aid programs administered by New York State and our Senate offices to assist these valiant men and women. It is my intention that it become an ongoing narrative of how we support New York’s true heroes, the women and men of the armed services.
“The New York State Senate recognizes that veterans, whether from recent conflicts or great wars of the past, are responsible for safeguarding the freedoms we all enjoy today. Through the efforts of our Majority Conference, the Senate is developing policies and programs that assist, support, promote, and honor New York’s champions.”
