Senator George D. Maziarz (R-C, Newfane) today announced that the New York Farm Bureau has named him a member of the organization’s “Circle of Friends.”
Dean Norton, President of New York Farm Bureau, said, “Membership is reserved for only those who actively support the farm families of New York State and is renewed at the end of each Legislative Session.”
The Circle of Friends award is an indication of Senator Maziarz’ support of New York agriculture and the Farm Bureau during 2009 legislative session. It will be presented during the Farm Bureau’s 2010 State Lobby Days at the capital in March. Senator Maziarz has received the award on numerous occasions in previous years.
“There are many issues being debated in Albany right now that have major implications for farmers and their way of life. I will keep fighting to make sure that farmers in Niagara, Orleans, and Monroe Counties get the representation they deserve,” Senator Maziarz said.
New York Farm Bureau, a nonpartisan, volunteer organization, is the State’s largest agricultural lobbying/trade organization. New York Farm Bureau is dedicated to solving the economic and public policy issues challenging the agricultural community.
