Sen. John DeFrancisco recently recognized Daniel Walker and Dylan Potter, Central New York West Point cadets during West Point Day at the New York State Capitol. Cadet Walker is from Baldwinsville and is a 2006 graduate of C.W. Baker High School. Cadet Potter is from Marietta and is a 2006 graduate of Marcellus High School.
“All of these cadets are exceptional young men and woman, but I am especially proud to honor Dylan Potter and Daniel Walker who are both in my 50th Senate District,” DeFrancisco said. “Both men should be commended for their patriotism, dedication and strong commitment to our nation. Answering the call to serve in this dangerous time is truly an inspiration to all of us.”
Daniel Walker is a senior at West Point majoring in mechanical engineering. He is a Physical Development Officer at USMA.
Cadet Potter and Cadet Walker, along with several other cadets from the USMA at West Point, were acknowledged during the April 27 New York State Senate session. The Senate adopted a resolution in their honor. Cadets and officers were also invited to a private breakfast and luncheon at the Capitol, and were honored by Governor David A. Paterson and the New York State Assembly.
This year marks the 58th annual West Point Day at the New York State Capitol.
