Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) was recently presented with an award of appreciation by the members of the Friends of Caleb Smith Preserve for his efforts to help them preserve this natural wonder. The organization, which works in conjunction with the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to make the preserve a community resource, was especially grateful for Senator Flanagan’s efforts to help them secure funding which helped them restore the museum.
"Our parks are a vital part of our community and I thank the members of the Friends of Caleb Smith preserve for this honor. More importantly, I thank them for all they do on behalf of the preserve and the surrounding community. It is my pleasure to help them achieve their mission and I look forward to working with them again in the future,” stated Senator Flanagan.
