Senator John J. Flanagan (2nd Senate District) was honored to join the staff and volunteers of the Long Island State Veterans Home (LISVH) in Stony Brook for a special Veteran’s Day ceremony. The event was a salute to the special men and women who reside at the LISVH for their service to the country.
“The men and women who have served or are currently serving our country deserve our thanks every day and I am honored to join the Long Island State Veterans Home for this special day. Our nation is only as strong as those who choose to defend it and these brave men and women are the ones who have answered the call every time the need has arisen. To all of them I say thank you for all that you have done for our nation and for the personal sacrifices you have made so that we may enjoy our freedom,” stated Senator Flanagan.
