In an effort to cut down on waste, increase productivity within state offices and to save trees and the environment, ARRC in association with the Governor's Office of Regulatory Reform and the Department of State have collaborated on a green initiative to electronically distribute proposed agency regulations. ARRC Chairman, Senator John L. Sampson is excited about the project and believes, “as the State and Country begin to phase out paper distribution of proposed regulations we will be able to save countless trees from destruction while saving taxpayers substantial costs associated with postage and handling.” The Senator goes on to say, “the electronic filing of state agency regulations will prove to further limit greenhouse gasses because there will be less waste and more trees left uncut to combat carbon dioxide emissions.”
