The Parkinson Canal Run Walk will be held at the Meridian Centre Park - 2025 Winton Rd South in Brighton on Sunday, April 18, 2010.
Proceeds from the Parkinson Canal Run Walk, the PSGUNY annual fundraising event, will again be used to fund research and find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease (PD). With our donations we support the University of Rochester (UR); the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF); and the Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF).
With the continued support of our corporate sponsors and the hard work of our volunteers, we can promises another quality event that everyone will enjoy.
Online registration for $20 is available through 8 pm on April 16th. Click here for registration details!
Registration fees will be waived for runners and walkers collecting $100 or more in pledges.
You can also register in person for $25 between 10-5 pm on Saturday, April 17th at Medved Running & Walking at 3400 Monroe Avenue. $25 race day registration and packet pick up at 7:30 am at Meridian Centre Park.
5 km Run starts at 9 am and 1.5 mile Walk at 10 am. Quality cotton t-shirts will be given to first 500 registered participants. 5 km awards to the top Overall male & female, top Masters male & female, and top 3 male & female in the following age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 & over. Walk awards to the top 3 fund raisers. .
We are asking anyone that plans to attend the Parkinson Run Walk to help in collecting individual donations. We also encourage organizations, workplaces, churches and clubs to form teams. The team captain will collect team donations and register the team. If you’d like, choose a team color, team name or wear unifying T-shirts.
