Saturday will mark the 9th anniversary of the terrorist attacks in our country, which took place on September 11th, 2001. There will be a number of events around the area to remember those who perished on that day. In my district, the September 11th Memorial Service at Monroe Community College will begin at 8:00 a.m. This is free to the public, and you should use parking lot G on the Brighton campus. In Greece, a 9/11 Remembrance Service will be held at the Greece Ridge Fire Department, 1299 Long Pond Road. The service will begin at 10:00 a.m. and guests are ask to assemble at the Emergency Service Memorial on grounds.
