Senator LaValle Extends His Apppreciation to the First Senate District

Kenneth P. LaValle

November 5, 2010

Another Election Day has passed and it was one that surely will go down in history.  One week later, people are still talking about the upsets and the victories.  If there was any doubt that every vote counts, this was the election to change the mind of  skeptics.  Races across the state are too close to call until the final counts are tallied.  Once the counts are in, it is up to the re-elected and newly elected officials to fulfill their election promises and work to ensure that government meets the needs of their constituency.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of the First Senatorial District for continuing to put their trust in me and allowing me to represent them in Albany for another term.  While I am proud of my accomplishments on behalf of the people of my district, I know there is so much more to be done.  As I enter my 18th term in the State Senate, you have my solemn promise that I will continue to pursue initiatives that improve education, cut taxes, ensure quality health care for all citizens, and protect our treasured environment.  But, most of all, I will continue to listen to your concerns and work hard to enact laws that will improve your quality of life and ensure that same quality of life for generations to come.
