Senator Kenneth P. LaValle got back to nature at the Quogue Wildlife Refuge’s Annual Benefit. The event provided an opportunity for Senator LaValle to get a close-up look at many of the wildlife housed at the nature preserve, including a snake and an owl—a bird that has intrigued the Senator since he was a young boy. The Quogue Wildlife Refuge has been the home to a diverse population of animals since 1934. The 305-acres of protected land includes over 7 miles of trails where visitors can explore a variety of natural habitats. You may visit the Refuge’s web site at www.quoguewildliferefuge.com or call 631-653-4771 for more information on their various programs and hours of the preserve.
