Senator Kenneth P. LaValle received his flu shot at the FREE FLU SHOT CLINIC he sponsored at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson on September 29, 2010. Senator LaValle noted that 400 free immunizations were administered on a first-come, first-serve basis to adults 18 and over.
The FREE FLU SHOT CLINIC was part of a day-long event that St. Charles Hospital offered to help families improve household health and safety. The shots were offered from 12 Noon through 8 p.m. while supplies lasted.
“I am pleased to be able to bring FREE flu immunizations to the community in time for the upcoming flu season,” said Senator LaValle. “It is my hope that individuals who were in need of the flu shot took advantage of the opportunity to get immunized before the season hits.”
