Senator Golden Asks That Parole Be Denied for Michael Alston

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), a former New York City Police Officer and member of the State Senate Codes Committee, has sent a letter to Chairwoman Evans of the New York State Division of Parole asking that parole be denied for Michael Alston.
Michael Alston was convicted of killing NYPD Sergeant Keith Levine in 1991. Recent reports indicate that a parole hearing is scheduled for January 7, 2011. A copy of the letter is attached.
