Senator Golden Partners WITH the Visiting Nurse Service to Offer Free Flu Shots

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, 22nd District) in conjunction with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York, is announcing that he will be offering free flu shots for senior citizens, uninsured residents, and those who the Health Department is encouraging to get the annual flu vaccine, at two events during the first week of November.

Free flu shots will be available to the community on Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 pm at the Bay Ridge Manor, located at 476-76th Street, and on Friday, November 5, 2010, from 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. at the Salt Marsh Nature Center, located at 3302 Avenue U.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "I am proud to once again partner with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York to make available the flu vaccination to this community at no cost. At the same time, I wish to remind everyone who should get a flu shot, to in fact get one, so to avoid the risk of being inflicted with the virus and getting sick this winter.”
