Senator Golden on Snowstorm Outreach

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) has maintained office hours for constituent concerns throughout the aftermath of the storm. Hundreds of unplowed streets have been reported as well as abandoned cars to be towed. Throughout the aftermath of the storm maintaining contact with city officials as well as CERT and the volunteer ambulance groups has been a priority and is starting to pay off.

Senator Golden stated “Today most streets in my district are plowed and those that have not been done will be today according to the Mayor’s office. The hundreds of unplowed streets in the different neighborhoods have been one of my priorities these last few days.”

“My main priority has been getting help to those who need it most. Through my office we were able to get people to dialysis, to ensure their oxygen was delivered. We have seen groups of men come together to get the sick and elderly into ambulances that were unable to get to homes. The feeling of community has been seen throughout and I would like to thank the volunteers. It is fitting to have this reminder at the holidays that we have neighbors that will be there in a time of need.”
