“I share the outrage that New Yorkers have expressed at the closing of Thacher Park.  At a time when people are feeling overburdened by taxes and tough economic times, it was a slap in the face to tell them they could not even use their parks to celebrate Memorial Day.”

“Although I am angry and disappointed that Thacher Park and others throughout the state were shuttered to begin with, I am pleased that the Governor at long last heeded the call from New Yorkers and committed to reopening our parks.”
