Senator Owen H. Johnson joined in the Grand Opening Celebration of Shipwreck Cove, the $1.5 million water park that opened June 26th at the Bay Shore Marina. Opening festivities included treasure hunts, field day events, arts and crafts, music, fireworks and more!
“It was a pleasure to celebrate the grand opening of Shipwreck Cove! The Town of Islip has much to offer to families that want to enjoy summer activities closer to home at an affordable price,” Senator Johnson said.
Shipwreck Cove features water slides, sprays and a pool geared for children under the age of 10. The cost of admission to the water park is free for families participating in the Town of Islip’s recreation pass that can be used at all of the other town pools as well. Day admission is $5 per person with a Town of Islip Recreation card, $7.50 without. Non-residents will pay $10.
