Senator Owen H. Johnson honored for service to Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission

John V. O’Shea, Executive Director of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission, honored Senator Owen H. Johnson for his 29 years of service to the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission for his steadfast commitment to fisheries conservation.
“Your courage and foresight led to the successful restoration of Atlantic Stiped Bass to historical levels of abundance,” Executive Director O’Shea said. “Your leadership of the Legislative and Governor-appointed Commissioners improved cooperation and compliance. You have earned the great respect of our Commissioners for your tireless efforts to protect the fish stocks of the Atlantic.”
Senator Johnson was presented with a gold Commissioner Pin to recognize his dedication and sacrifice in working to manage and restore the coastal fishery resources of the Atlantic. The presentation took place at Beach Cleanup 2010, Robert Moses State Park, Field #2 on September 25, 2010.
