Veteran Frank C. Criscuolo of Lindenhurst awarded New York State’s highest military honor.

Senator Owen H. Johnson presented Frank C. Criscuolo of Lindenhurst with the New York State Conspicuous Service Cross. The New York State Conspicuous Service Cross, along with its accompanying citation, is the highest military honor the State of New York bestows on a veteran. Mr. Criscuolo was also presented with the New York State Conspicuous Service Star.
"All New Yorkers appreciate the sacrifice Mr. Criscuolo made for his country," Senator Johnson stated. “It is my honor and privilege to present him with New York’s highest military honor.” The presentation ceremony took place on November 10, 2010 at the Senator's Babylon Office.
Mr. Criscuolo was a member of the 397th Infantry Regiment, 100th Infantry Division of the United States Army. His service began in March, 1944 and he was honorably discharged in May of 1946.
In addition to the New York State Conspicuous Service Cross and the New York State Conspicuous Star Medals, Mr. Criscuolo is also the recipient of the Combat Infantry Badge, the Bronze Star Medal, and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three Bronze Service Stars.
