JEWISH ORGANIZATION TO HONOR SENATOR RUBÉN DÍAZ AS PUBLIC SERVANT CHAMPION
On Friday, February 5, 2010, the Bronx Jewish Community Council will honor Senator Rubén Díaz with the title of Public Servant Champion of the Bronx. The Bronx Jewish Community Council will offer this homage to Senator Rev. Rubén Díaz in recognition of his struggle, commitment and dedication to the Bronx, the State of New York and the Jewish community.
The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Riverdale Temple, which is located at 4545 Independence Avenue. The event will also recognize some of the businessmen and women who have made a big impact in the quality of life in the Bronx.
The Bronx Jewish Community Council Board of Directors is composed of Brad Silver (Executive Vice President), Lorance Hocker (President), Howard Bruce Neufeld (Chair), Miriam Korman (Vice President), Charles Lansberg (Vice President), Ted Weinstein (Vice President), Steven Bussell (Treasurer), and Steven Bernardo (Secretary).
“This recognition from the Bronx Jewish Community Council is particularly gratifying. I am honored to have been chosen by this outstanding community organization,” stated Senator Díaz.
