New York State Senate Puerto Rican and Latino Caucus
to Host Public Meeting on “The State of The Latino Women Entrepreneurs”
Bronx, NY- State Senator Rubén Díaz, Chairman of the New York State Senate Puerto Rican and Latino Caucus, announced that the Caucus will host a Public Meeting to hear testimonies from interested individuals about The State of the Latino Women Entrepreneurs in New York State. “Oral and written testimonies related to issues and concerns, affecting Latino Women in business will be presented,” Sen. Diaz expressed.
The meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 from 10 am to 1 pm, and will be held at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center – Auditorium, located at 234 East 149th Street, Bronx, NY 10451.
“As Chairman of the New York State Senate Puerto Rican and Latino Caucus, I believe it is very important that we listen to the problems that Latino Women are experiencing as they go about establishing or expanding their businesses. We are also interested in learning how the various government agencies and business community are addressing the Small Business Act.” Sen. Díaz stated.
“Most importantly, the Caucus looks forward to this meeting in the expectation that out of the information gathered, the members of the Caucus will be able to develop policy that will lead to appropriate legislation or actions that will eventually serve to improve the process for Latino Women as they look to enhance their business opportunities,” Senator Díaz concluded.
