Senator Rev. Rubén Díaz along with the Bronx Borough President Rubén Díaz, Jr. And Assemblyman Marcos Crespo to Honor Distinguished Women in the Bronx
Bronx, NY
State Senator Rubén Díaz, Sr. along with Bronx Borough President Rubén Díaz, Jr. and Assemblyman Marcos Crespo, in conjunction with the NAACP Parkchester Branch, will honor six distinguished women for their achievements and contributions to their communities in the Bronx.
The honorees are Shireena Drammeh, Karen Blanding, Barbara Brown, Gerri B. Lamb, Betty Jones and Lisa Pizarro, along with special honors to Beverly Roberts, President of the NAACP Parkchester Branch.
“I am proud to honor these women, who have demonstrated their professional achievements, dedication to their community and ability to overcome incredible challenges,” stated Senator Díaz. “The Bronx is no-doubt a better place because of their contributions,” he continued.
The gala event will take place on Thursday, June 3rd, Maestro’s Caterers, 1703 Bronxdale Avenue in the Bronx, from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.
