SENATOR RUBÉN DÍAZ AND THE NEW YORK HISPANIC CLERGY
ORGANIZATION TO ROLL OUT CENSUS 2010 FAITH BASED INITIATIVE
Bronx, NY - On Friday, January 29, 2010, New York State Senator Rubén Diaz, community and church leaders will convene at the Census Tour Vehicle to discuss the efforts that the New York Hispanic Clergy Coalition and the Senate Puerto Rican and Latino Caucus, which he chairs, will undertake to countermand the national effort to discourage immigrants from participating in the census.
New York State Senator Rubén Díaz, along with various religious leaders will address the need for the immigrant community to actively participate in the upcoming census and the role that the Hispanic Clergy will take in the upcoming 2010 Census in New York, Long Island, as well as the Tri State Region, to undermine national efforts currently dissuading immigrants not to participate.
