Resolution Pays Tribute to Last Year’s 59 Fallen Heroes
(Albany, NY) The New York State Senate honored the service and memory of the 59 members of the United States Armed Forces from New York – or who served in New York – who lost their lives in the line of duty over the last year defending our country in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Senator Ruth Hassell-Thompson (D-Bronx/Westchester) said, “Our nation owes a debt to these fallen heroes that can never be repaid, and even more so, to the families they have left behind while defending our freedoms. We must continue to keep our promise to assist returning veterans and their families while honoring the memories of those who have died.”
