Senator Saland Announces the New York State Energy Efficient Appliance Rebate Program: The Great Appliance Swap Out

Senator Steve Saland (R-I-C Poughkeepsie) is pleased to announce The New York State Energy-Efficient Appliance Rebate Program: The Great Appliance Swap-Out.  Administered by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, New York State residents seeking to replace inefficient appliances can take advantage of this exciting rebate program by purchasing ENERGY STAR qualified appliances or High Efficiency ENERGY STAR appliances beginning February 12^th.   

Available rebates include, $75 for eligible refrigerators, $75 for washing machines, and $50 for freezers.  Consumers wishing to replace dishwashers may qualify for a $500 rebate when purchased along with a refrigerator and a washing machine.  Increased rebates are available for consumers who recycle their old appliances.

Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, approximately 170,000 rebates will be available for qualified purchases by New York State Residents.  To learn more about this initiative, and to apply for a rebate please visit http://www.nyapplianceswapout.com/.
