Senator Steve Saland (R,I,C – Poughkeepsie) today announced he will hold a Senior Seminar on Friday, March 12th.
The seminar will feature elder law attorneys who will discuss a number of important issues facing seniors such as estate planning, wills and trusts, end-of-life decisions, nursing home care, etc.
The seminar will also feature a representative from The Alzheimer’s Association who will discuss understanding memory loss and what services are available for persons diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease and their caregivers.
A question and answer period will follow each presentation.
“The issues we will be discussing at the seminar are vitally important for seniors”, said Senator Saland. “Many of us face these issues or may have to contend with them in the future. We need to confront them with knowledge and preparation.”
The seminar will be held at The Henry A. Wallace Center at the FDR Presidential Library and Home in Hyde Park on Friday, March 12th from 10 AM to noon. Light refreshments will be served.
