Western New Yorker celebrated the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s birthday on Monday, as “Not A Day Off, But A Day ON!”. Senator Stachowski visited the Father Belle Center, on Maryland Street in Buffalo.
The Senator was joined by members of the Father Belle Center, Americorps, PUSH Buffalo, Buffalo State College students, and Buffalo Bills’ linebacker (#52) Chris Draft, an Ambassador of Service for MLK Day.
Stachowski and Draft rallied the troops before they headed out to five locations for painting projects.
Volunteers were painting, repairing walls, and helping out at various locations in service to others.
