Brief Detour for Manhattan and Brooklyn-bound Drivers Exiting Verrazano-Narrows Bridge from 11 PM to 7 AM, Sat., Dec. 10th into Sun., Dec.11th. Motorists driving into Manhattan or Brooklyn using the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge will be diverted to the 92nd Street exit ramp while a portion of the Gowanus Expressway just off the bridge is closed for the removal of an electronic sign beginning Sat., Dec. 10th at 11 p.m. through Sun., Dec. 11th at 7 a.m. All traffic exiting the bridge will be diverted to the 92nd Street exit. Drivers will stay on the service road a short distance and will re-enter the Expressway at 86th Street
