Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) today visited Chatterton Elementary School in Merrick to pick up toys students collected for his annual “Extend the Holidays” toy drive and to thank them for participating in the program.
“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Center. The toys collected by the Chatterton students will be delivered to the hospital after the holiday season, so that children can experience the joys of receiving a holiday gift throughout the year.
“I thank Chatterton’s students for once again participating in this program and doing such a great job. Each toy they collected will bring some extra cheer to children who are going through tough times. They should be very proud of all their hard work,” said Senator Fuschillo.
