Students at Forest Lake Elementary School in Wantagh recently welcomed Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) to their school to present him with the toys they collected for his annual “Extend the Holidays” toy drive. Senator Fuschillo visited the school to personally pick up the toys and thank students for once again participating in the program.
“Extend the Holidays” is an annual toy drive Senator Fuschillo organizes for the benefit of children in Winthrop Hospital. The toys collected by the Forest Lake students will be delivered to the hospital after the holiday season, so that children can experience the joys of receiving a holiday gift throughout the year.
“Forest Lake’s students once again did an outstanding job. Every toy they collected will help put a smile on a child’s face, and that’s something of which they should be very proud. I thank them for all their hard work,” said Senator Fuschillo (R-Merrick).
